Jeffrey Burr has been recognized as one of the top tax and estate planning attorneys in Nevada. Through his years of community service and continual hard work, his personal client list contains many of the most prominent families in Southern Nevada. Under Jeff’s leadership the firm has received the highest and most prestigious rating of “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell. Jeff’s community involvement includes having been elected to the Clark County School Board and serving on Boards for Boys and Girls Club, Nevada Community Foundation, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and KLVX Planned Giving.
Jeff was named by his peers as one of the top estate planning attorneys in Southern Nevada in every edition of Best Lawyers in America. Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant, having previously worked as a tax accountant with the international accounting for of Deloitte & Touche. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section on Taxation, the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council and is a former Chairman of the Section on Taxation for the State Bar of Nevada. Jeff has also been a faculty member for the University of Miami School of Law, Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
Jeff has been published in the Nevada Lawyer, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and The Silver State CPA. He also co-authored a book entitled The Nevada Estate Planning Product Guide published in 2000.
Jeff obtained a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and later his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979.
Jeff is licensed to practice law in Nevada, California, and Arizona.
